Clocks

  I have always been fascinated by clocks, especially mechanical clocks. Mechanical systems are lovely to think about. Growing up, I would watch the grandfather clock in my grandparent's house strike the hours and wonder at how ti was made, what made it tick.

  As a teenager I enjoyed any antiques, and eventually found an anniversary clock for cheap at a shop. It was in pretty good shape, but definitely not running. I took it apart and cleaned it up since it was full of dust. I ordered a replacement cable because the original was bent. My heart filled with joy when at last it ran!

  I have since found a few more clocks, and I am working on a few more. I have acquired two pocket watches, but not yet the fine tools to fix them. College keeps me busy, but eventually I'l be fixing the rest of my broken gadgets and probably giving some nice wedding gifts ;)
