Solar Bracket

  I printed a lot of 3D parts in high school. So many things that would be hard to find otherwise, I had a focus on functional parts. I made countless caps and covers for this and that. There were a few things I made for education, just to see if I could.

  My best design was a solar panel mounting bracket for our family RV. There was a tight space constraint where the panels needed to be stored securely. I used TinkerCAD and printed a four-part sliding bracket system in two tries.

  The final result was a clean design that keeps the panels secure on the road and made it easy to get them in and out. A front foot hold keeps them slid back, a guide behind the counter creates a track for them to slide on. And a two part drop-in clamp keeps them from tipping around.
